The Middlesex County Cricket Club squad came together yesterday at Lord’s for a morning’s training and nets on the Nursery Ground.
The players then took part in the club’s annual pre-season media event in the afternoon, which took place at the Pavilion End of the ground, where we caught up with Chris Rogers, the club’s LV= County Championship captain, as he talks us through his hopes for the Middlesex side for the coming season, and discusses his own personal aspirations regarding media talk of his potential inclusion in the Australian Test side ahead of the forthcoming Ashes series this summer.

After ten years at the very top of the Women’s International game with England, which has seen Beth Morgan win and retain the Women’s Ashes, lift the ICC Women’s World Cup and win the ICC World t20 Trophy, we caught up with the Middlesex Women’s Captain this week at Lord’s and chatted to her about her decision to retire from the international game after a three year battle against injury.

Last week we caught up with our new batting coach, Mark Ramprakash, after he’d spent the morning working with the Middlesex players at the MCC Indoor Cricket Academy at Lord’s.
