Middlesex County Cricket Club are delighted to announce that Eoin Morgan has put pen to paper on a new contract which secures his long term future with the club.
Morgan, 26, has been a part of the Middlesex set up for almost a decade; making his second eleven debut for the club in 2003 and his First-Class debut in 2006.
Morgan’s new deal with Middlesex follows the announcement in September that he was one of only ten players to be rewarded with an ECB central contract for 2013, having become an integral part of the England One Day International and Twenty20 squads, and having forced himself back into the reckoning for selection to the Test side.
Commenting on the new long term agreement reached between Morgan and the club, Middlesex’s Chief Executive, Vinny Codrington, said... “We are absolutely thrilled that Eoin has chosen to commit his long term future to Middlesex County Cricket Club. At Middlesex we are hugely proud of the success we have had in recent years in producing England cricketers for all forms of the game, and there is no better example of this than Eoin Morgan.
"With the exceptional talent he possesses Eoin is quite rightly regarded as one of the most gifted batsmen in world cricket today, and we are delighted that we can continue to call upon his services whenever he is available to us here at Middlesex.
Securing the long term future of a player of Eoin’s calibre is yet another example of our commitment to ensuring a successful period for the club on the field in the future, following the recent addition of other high profile players to the Middlesex ranks."
