Uxbridge Cricket Club is a multi-sports complex consisting of 2 grass squares plus an artificial pitch used for U.10’s-U.13’s cricket, a bowling green, 8 tennis courts of which 3 are grass and 5 tarmac and a rugby field.
The main cricket pitch is currently used by Middlesex County Cricket Club as an outground, when they are unable to play at Lord’s.
The assistant groundsman will be required to support the Head Groundsman in keeping all playing surfaces to the very highest standard possible and to deputise when the Head Groundsman is not on duty.
The position is for six months initially, April – October 2013.
A degree of flexibility will be needed as to working hours in order to cover weekends and the long hours required during first-class cricket.
The ideal candidate will live locally, be confident in their own ability, keen to progress and have the ability to work on their own and as a part of a small team.
In return they can expect to share thoughts and ideas with the team leader, and to add first-class cricket to their CV.
Some experience would be useful although we would not rule out anyone displaying the key skills of passion, drive and a willingness to learn.
