Two and a half days in the field under a hot sun is not the ideal way for a team to enter a Championship match but that is the predicament Middlesex face this week against Yorkshire. The Sussex match was a tough encounter that kept us interested right until the final hour. But, after two days rest the bowlers, especially, should be in reasonable shape. Understandably they will be praying Middlesex bat first and bat as well as they did against Sussex on Tuesday morning but if we are in the field we know they will once again give it all they have.
The squad remains the same as that against Sussex with Corey Collymore likely to play ahead of one of the seamers from that game.
As with last week's game against Sussex, this is an important game. We are currently level on points with Yorkshire in 2nd place and both teams will be looking to place Sussex under pressure.
Middlesex CCC are pleased to announce the following 12-man squad for the match against Yorkshire at Lord's, which is due to start tomorrow, Tuesday 11 June:
Chris Rogers (captain)
Tickets for this match can be purchased on the gate on the day and cost £16 for adults, £8 for over 65s and £5 for under 16s (4th day: £5 for adults and free for over 65s and under 16s). Middlesex members get into the match for FREE.
Gates open at 10am and play is due to start at 11am on all four days.
