Middlesex County Cricket Club are delighted to announce that Harry Podmore has signed a two year contract with the club. The deal means that Podmore will play for Middlesex CCC at least until the end of the 2015 domestic cricket season. Podmore, 19, is primarily a product of the excellent youth cricket structure that is in place at Ealing Cricket Club in West London. Ealing CC has also played a role in supplying Middlesex with other young cricketers like Ollie Wilkin and Ravi Patel. The fast bowler spent 2011 and 2012 with the Middlesex CCC Academy and joined the Marylebone Cricket Club Young Cricketers in 2013. Last summer he was a regular member of Middlesex's 2nd XI.
Commenting on Podmore signing for the Club, Middlesex CCC's Managing Director of Cricket, Angus Fraser, said: "Harry has worked hard to get a contract with Middlesex CCC and he thoroughly deserves the opportunity he has been given. His bowling continues to develop and with further hard work he will become a fine bowler. He joins an exciting group of young fast bowlers at Middlesex that includes Tom Helm and Gurjit Sandhu. Middlesex would once again like to thank Ealing CC for the role they have played in supplying the Club with another talented young cricketer."
