Middlesex 2s v Sussex 2s: Match Report

over 8 years ago | Uncategorised

SUSSEX WON BY 88 RUNS: SUSSEX 324; MIDDLESEX 236

Middlesex were well beaten here at Richmond after getting off to reasonable starts both in the field and with bats in hand.

The fielding was at best average as Zaidi plundered the Middlesex bowling and looked every inch a class player as he amassed a big hundred to put Sussex in charge after the first innings.

Eskinazi and Steel opened, chasing over 6 an over to secure Middlesex’s third victory in this years 50 over competition. When Steel went after 10 overs we were already behind the required rate, and really from then on never really looked threatening, eventually capitulating 88 runs short with a couple of overs to spare.
