Middlesex County Cricket Club is delighted to announce that seventeen year old opening batsman Max Holden has put pen to paper on a four year contract with the club, which begins in January 2016.

Holden will complete his A-level studies at college in early 2016 and upon their completion will play for Middlesex. Holden, who was today selected within the England under 19’s winter touring party to Sri Lanka for the tri-series with Sri Lanka and India, will be contracted to play for Middlesex until at least the end of the 2019 season.

Speaking of the signing of Holden, Angus Fraser, Middlesex’s Managing Director of Cricket said...

“I am delighted to have Max on board when he finishes his A-levels. Everybody at the club is very excited about his potential and this contract allows him to fully focus on his cricket when he finishes college.

“He is a smashing lad with a great work ethic and we all believe he has a bright future in the game.”

On signing with Middlesex, Holden commented...

“I am thrilled to have signed a long term contract with Middlesex, a club where I have spent the last five years of my life learning the game. The opportunity to commit my future to a club of Middlesex’s standing is a real honour for me and I look forward to contributing towards the club goals for many years to come.”
