MIDDLESEX PRESENT 2016 OSCA'S AT LORD'S

over 7 years ago | Uncategorised

This year’s Middlesex OSCA’s (Outstanding Service to Cricket Awards) were held at Lords Cricket Ground on Sunday 14th August and once again were proudly sponsored by Lexus Edgware Road.

This annual event gives Middlesex the chance to say a huge thank you to volunteers who are crucial to the growth of the game and play such an important role in making sure that the game of cricket continues to thrive and flourish within the county at all levels.

Having received a record number of nominations from clubs and leagues this year, nine winners were rewarded for their invaluable contributions.

Held during the second day of the Middlesex v Durham Specsavers County Championship game at the Home of Cricket, the award winners were presented with their awards by former Middlesex and England off-spinner Shaun Udal, as well as being treated to two hundreds from Middlesex players Nick Compton and Nick Gubbins on the field as the hosts built a commanding lead over visitors Durham. Middlesex's opening batsman, Sam Robson, even popped in to pass on his congratulations and pose for photos with award winners.

The nine awards compromised of seven ECB and two Middlesex categories, with our county winners of the seven specific ECB awards then going forward to take part in the National ECB OSCA's, where their achievements will be measured against the winners of all other counties. We wish all of our Middlesex winners the best of luck when they attend the national awards event later on in the year!
