Second XI Friendly vs Glamorgan - updates

DAY THREE - CLOSE OF PLAY

Middlesex bowled Glamorgan out for 290 in their 2nd innings to win by an innings and 63 runs. Podmore finished with figures of 4-31, Harris 3-51, Higgins 2-41 and Patel 1-75.

DAY TWO - CLOSE OF PLAY

Middlesex declared on 496-8 with White making 62 and Podmore 56, a lead of 353 runs. Glamorgan, in reply are 38-2 at the close, with Harris taking both wickets for the hosts.

TEA UPDATE

Middlesex have moved onto 394-7 a lead of 251 runs. Ryan Higgins fell on 150, bowled by Lawlor. The other two wickets to fall this session were George Scott (55) and Nathan Sowter (15).

LUNCH UPDATE

MIDDLESEX 276-4

Middlesex lead by 133 runs at lunch on day two of this 4 day friendly. Max Holden lost his wicket without adding to his overnight score of 73.  Skipper Eskinazi made 12 and Harris 23 before both were caught. Ryan Higgins passed a century & at lunch he is 108* alongside George Scott (19*).

CLOSE OF PLAY

GLAMORGAN 143 all out

MIDDLESEX 173-1

Glamorgan were bowled out inside 52 overs on day one. Ryan Higgins was the pick of the Middlesex bowlers with 4 wickets for 48 runs. Podmore, Godsal and Patel all collected two wickets each.

In reply Middlesex lost Sam Robson for 34, which bought Ryan Higgins to the crease. He batted positively, and together with Max Holden put on a century stand to help the hosts to a lead of 30 runs. Higgins 60* (from 68 balls) and Holden 73 (from 134 balls) resume in the morning.

LUNCH UPDATE

Glamorgan are 88-6 at lunch. Ryan Higgins is the pick of the Middlesex bowlers with three wickets for 37 from 8 overs. Podmore and Harris opened the bowling with the former picking up one wicket for just 12 runs from his 8 overs  Arthur Godsal has two, both bowled, for 16 runs from 6 .

Glamorgan will bat first in this 2nd XI friendly being played at Radlett CC.
