ROLAND-JONES CALLED UP TO LIONS ONE-DAY SQUAD

over 7 years ago | Uncategorised

Toby Roland-Jones has been called up to the England Lions One-Day squad for the forthcoming series with Sri Lanka A.

Surrey fast bowler Tom Curran leaves the Lions squad, and is celebrating a call-up to the England one-day squad in the Caribbean as back-up for Jake Ball, who injured his right knee in the warm-up victory over the WICB President’s XI in St Kitts on Monday.

Curran's call up to the England One-Day squad and subsequent departure from the Lions squad has opened the door for Roland-Jones, who has formed an effective new ball partnership with Curran in the Lions’ four-day matches in Sri Lanka recently but had not originally been selected for the one-day squad.

Roland-Jones will now stay on in Sri Lanka for the England Lions five-match series – which starts in Dambulla on Thursday, and will join fellow Middlesex teammates, Ollie Rayner, Tom Helm and James Fuller in the Lions one-Day squad.
