Day 1 Watch & Listen: Hampshire CCC v Middlesex CCC

over 7 years ago | Uncategorised

Match action from day one of our Specsavers County Championship match against Hampshire down at the Ageas Bowl, where Hampshire's batsmen looked in control for much of the day with Michael Carberry scoring 107 and Liam Dawson 87* at the close. No other batsmen scored over 25 and when the new ball was taken in the evening session, the Middlesex bowlers picked up four more wickets to leave Hampshire 315-7; Roland-Jones taking three wickets and Murtagh and Harris 2 each. The day was overshadowed by a freak head injury to Adam Voges, who, with suspected concussion, will take no further part in the match.

Angus Fraser updates us with the latest on Adam Voges, who had to be taken to hospital after being struck on the head while in the field.
