MIDDLESEX CRICKET MOURNS THE PASSING OF BARRY NORMAN

over 6 years ago | Uncategorised

Middlesex Cricket is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of legendary BBC and Sky film critic, broadcaster, writer and cricket lover, Barry Norman.

A passionate supporter of the game, a dedicated lifelong supporter of our club, and one of the nicest gentlemen you could ever wish to meet.

The club were fortunate enough to experience at first hand what a wonderful, kind and funny man Barry was, when he generously hosted Middlesex's 'Two Mikes Dinner' -  a celebration of the achievements of Mike Brearley and Mike Gatting as Captains of Middlesex over 25 years throughout our most successful period as a club.

Barry died in his sleep on Friday night. He leaves two daughters, Samantha and Emma, and a host of friends in cricket and beyond.

Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Barry Norman, who will be greatly missed by all.
