Johan de Silva


Johan de Silva is an ECB Advanced Coach with playing experience as a wicket-keeper/batsman in Highgate Cricket Club's First Eleven.

He holds a variety of roles within the Recreational Game, and is the Director of Cricket at Highgate CC.

Johan has set up his own coaching company, JDS Cricket Coaching, and works closely with Middlesex Cricket to deliver as much Cricket as possible in North London. As part of this work, Johan is involved in revitalising Junior Cricket at Alexandra Park CC. Johan is the Borough Lead for East London Boroughs and Middlesex CCC Under 11's County Age Group Girls Lead Coach, as well as a qualified Coach Developer.

With a degree from UCL in Human Sciences and graduate experience in insurance broking at Marsh & Maclennan Companies, Johan has considerable expertise he is able to bring to the Board in his new role shaping the improvement of Recreational Cricket across the county.

Johan is passionate about improving everyone’s enjoyment of Cricket, challenging players and volunteers to be the best they can be, and inspiring a love of the game for all.

His achievements have been recognised with the Middlesex CCC Young Volunteer OSCA award in 2015, and the Middlesex CCC Coach of the Year OSCA award in 2018.
