ADAM VOGES TO REJOIN MIDDLESEX AS OVERSEAS PLAYER

over 7 years ago | Uncategorised

Middlesex County Cricket Club is delighted to announce that Australian Adam Voges will be returning to Lord’s in 2017 to bolster the club’s Specsavers County Championship title defence and to strengthen Middlesex’s Royal London One-Day Cup challenge.

Voges will be available for thirteen of Middlesex’s Specsavers County Championship matches and all eight Royal London One-Day Cup group games.

This will be the fourth time that Voges has joined Middlesex as an overseas player, following previous stints at Lord’s in 2013, 2015 and 2016. His first-class record for Middlesex has been exceptional thus far, with him averaging over 61.00 from fourteen County Championship appearances, and in his last appearance for the club in 2016 he hit an unbeaten 160 at Merchant Taylors’ School against Hampshire.

Speaking of Voges returning to Middlesex, MD of Cricket, Angus Fraser commented:

"Inviting Adam back was a simple decision. On each of the occasions he has been with Middlesex he has been outstanding in every way and he is just the sort of character I want playing for our club.

“In the past two seasons selection for Australia has reduced the amount of time he has spent with us but this season we expect to see far more of him. We look forward to having him available for virtually all our Specsavers County Championship matches and our entire Royal London One-Day Cup campaign."
