Interview with Paul Stirling - Brooks Macdonald June 2017 Player of the Month

Paul Stirling is interviewed at Lord's Cricket Ground after the big hitting Irishman had been named as the club's Brooks Macdonald Player of the Month award winner for June 2017.

In the month of June Stirling hit 358 first-class runs at an average of 59.33, including a maiden championship hundred for Middlesex at Lord's against Yorkshire.

Stirling's month started with a half-century against Somerset at Lord's, when he hit a crucial 52 in Middlesex's first innings total of 358, helping the side to a draw in the rain affected clash. He followed this up with a solid 49 at Southport, as Middlesex disappointingly went down to their first defeat of the season against Lancashire. He then hit that maiden Championship hundred for Middlesex, 111, in the comprehensive innings victory against Yorkshire, before finishing the month with two further half centuries against Essex at Chelmsford, smashing 77 off just 50 balls in the first innings, and then 55 in the second.

Congratulations to Middlesex Cricket's Paul Stirling.
