ADDITIONAL PRE-SEASON FRIENDLY FIXTURE ANNOUNCED VS MCC YOUNG CRICKETERS

Middlesex Cricket can today announce that an additional pre-season friendly fixture has been added to the fixture calendar - this week on Thursday against MCC Young Cricketers at Merchant Taylors' School.

Already playing Durham this week in a two day pre-season warm up fixture over today and tomorrow at Merchant Taylors', the squad will now also play an additional fixture on Thursday, against MCC Young Cricketers, in a one-day warm up clash ahead of their trip to the Ageas Bowl next Monday, where they'll complete their pre-season warm up with a two day clash against Hampshire.

This week's friendly clash against Durham is scheduled to start at 10.30am each day and will be a red ball encounter, with 100 overs planned on each day's play, with each side batting a maximum of 50 overs per day.

Thursday's clash against MCC YC's will also be a red ball clash, also 50 overs per side, with matters being concluded in the course of one day's play.

The weather forecast is looking anything but friendly at Merchant Taylors' right now, with the covers on and rain failing. With the forecast offering much of the same, it remains to be seen how much cricket will actually be played.
