ETHAN BAMBER SIGNS PROFESSIONAL CONTRACT WITH MIDDLESEX CRICKET

Middlesex Cricket is delighted to announce that young seamer Ethan Bamber has signed professional terms with the club - on a three-year summer contract.

Bamber, who finished the recent Under 19 World Cup as England’s joint leading wicket-taker, will be committed to Middlesex Cricket around his studies at Exeter University for the next three years.

Bamber, first represented Middlesex as an Under 15 and has gone on to make ten appearances for the club’s Second Eleven across the three competitive formats.

On signing his first contract with the club, Ethan Bamber commented…

“I'm very humbled that the club has seen fit to put their faith in me, and I am very excited to repay that faith with a lot of hard work."

Middlesex Cricket’s Managing Director of Cricket, Angus Fraser added…

“Offering young players a professional contract, albeit a summer one that works around University commitments, is one of the highlights of this job. To see a young person be so delighted with an offer is great to see.

“Ethan thoroughly deserves this opportunity. His Cricket is coming along really nicely and seeing him perform as well as he did in the Under 19 World Cup in New Zealand this winter was extremely encouraging.

“I would also like to thank our Academy and youth team coaches, headed by Alan Coleman and Rory Coutts, for the role they have played in producing an exciting young cricketer and, as importantly, an extremely impressive young man.”
