INJURY NEWS FROM THE MIDDLESEX CAMP

over 5 years ago | Player

With sad news coming out today that Toby Roland-Jones will miss the remainder of the season, following a recurrence of the lumber stress fracture he sustained last September, we felt an update on the injury status of the rest of the squad would be appreciated.

James Harris will miss the Glamorgan match having failed to recover from the side stiffness he suffered in Derby, which restricted his workload at the 3AAA County Ground. He was therefore withdrawn from the squad this morning after failing a medical test, and is expected to be fully fit for the Sussex County Championship clash after a week of rest.

Steven Finn has recommenced bowling following the sprained knee ligament he sustained when playing in the PSL last month. He will continue to increase his bowling loads over the next two weeks as he looks to recover match fitness.

Nick Gubbins also misses out on selection for the Glamorgan clash, with this game coming just too soon for him. The club fully expects him to be fit and available for the trip to Sussex in the Championship next week.

Eoin Morgan continues to recover from his fractured thumb, however will still not be back batting fully for a couple of weeks. he is therefore not in contention for a return to the squad until this situation improves.

Toby Roland-Jones will miss the rest of the season with a stress fracture in his back.
