HILTON CARTWRIGHT EXTENDS STAY WITH THE CLUB

Middlesex Cricket is delighted to announce that Hilton Cartwright has signed an extension to his stay with the club.

Cartwright was originally signed for the opening few matches of the County Championship season with a view to extending the term of his stay should both parties be in agreement. Having impressed in the red ball format in the short time he has been with the club, Cartwright has now signed terms to remain at Middlesex until at least the end of June, to ensure his availability for the entire Royal London One-Day Cup campaign.

Whilst yet to deliver with a heavy weight of runs at the crease, the Australian all-rounder has picked up crucial wickets with the ball in Middlesex’s opening Specsavers County Championship matches, and is currently the club’s third highest wicket taker, with eleven wickets at an average of just 21.

Cartwright has been named in Middlesex’s thirteen man squad for tomorrow’s opening Royal London One-Day Cup clash of the season against Essex at Radlett Cricket Club.
