over 5 years ago | Player

Middlesex batsman Dawid Malan has been added to the England squad for the ODI against Scotland on June 10th, following the withdrawal of all-rounder Ben Stokes.

Stokes will miss the clash against Scotland in Edinburgh and will also be unavailable for the first part of the five-match Royal London ODI series against Australia as he recovers from a left hamstring tear.

Stokes, who sustained the injury in the build-up to the NatWest Test match at Headingley against Pakistan, will be assessed later this week. He will continue his rehabilitation programme and will return to his county side Durham on Monday.

Malan has been added to the squad for the Scotland game on Sunday, June 10 and Kent batsman Sam Billings has been drafted into the squad for the Australia series, which gets underway at the Kia Oval on Wednesday, June 13.

Congratulations to Dawid Malan on being called up to the England ODI squad.
