Update of Vitality Blast overseas player availability

Middlesex Cricket have retained the services of all-rounder Hilton Cartwright until mid-July, to ensure he is available for the club's opening three Vitality Blast South Group matches of the 2018 campaign against Surrey, Essex and Gloucestershire.

Cartwright was scheduled to leave the club at the end of June, when Ashton Agar was due to replace him as the club's second overseas player for the Vitality Blast campaign alongside Dwayne Bravo, who arrived in the UK today to play in the club's opening six clashes.

With Cricket Australia arranging a tri-series in Zimbabwe in late June/early July however, Agar will not be released to join Middlesex until the conclusion of this competition in mid-July, meaning that he will miss the club's opening three Vitality Blast matches, and will first be available for Somerset's visit to Lord's on 19th July.

Overseas player availability for the opening six games is therefore as follows:

Thurs 5th July v Surrey at Lord's - Dwayne Bravo & Hilton Cartwright

Fri 6th July v Essex at Chelmsford - Dwayne Bravo & Hilton Cartwright

Sun 8th July v Gloucestershire at Uxbridge - Dwayne Bravo & Hilton Cartwright

Thurs 19th July v Somerset at Lord's - Ashton Agar & Dwayne Bravo

Fri 20th July v Hampshire at Ageas Bowl - Ashton Agar & Dwayne Bravo

Thurs 26th July v Hampshire at Lord's - Ashton Agar & Dwayne Bravo
