over 5 years ago | Player

James Harris has today been named as Middlesex Cricket’s Brooks Macdonald Player of the Month for August 2018.

During the interval of today’s Specsavers County Championship clash between Middlesex and Kent at the Home of Cricket Harris was presented with a Brooks Macdonald magnum of champagne and a cheque for £1000 by Middlesex’s President John Emburey and Lucy Taylor, Investment Director of Brooks Macdonald.

In just two County Championship games in August Harris picked up fourteen wickets at an average of 17.6, taking him past fifty County Championship wickets for the season. Harris is now out in front as the club’s leading wicket taker in the County Championship this term, with a total of 54 wickets at 19.42.

With the bat Harris also hit 101 runs in the County Championship at an average of 33.7, taking his run tally to over 400 runs at an average of 33. His highest knock, unbeaten 79 against Northamptonshire, was crucial in setting up Middlesex’s victory at Wantage Road from a position of following on.

In August Harris also picked up five wickets in three of Middlesex’s Vitality Blast matches, taking his tally to six wickets in five games over the campaign.

Congratulations to James Fuller on an outstanding month in August.
