Middlesex Cricket recall Martin Andersson from loan spell at Derbyshire

Middlesex Cricket can confirm this morning that Martin Andersson has been recalled from his loan spell at Derbyshire and will make his County Championship debut for Middlesex in today’s crucial clash against Kent at Lord’s.

The 21-year-old all-rounder joined Derbyshire on loan just last week and picked up figures of 4 for 25 against Glamorgan on his debut at the 3aaa County Ground.

Andersson is recalled to Middlesex to provide cover for seamer Tim Murtagh, who whilst initially named in this week’s squad to face Kent, has withdrawn this morning suffering from high temperature and illness relating to an abscess in the mouth.

We would like to pass on our thanks to Derbyshire for their understanding in us recalling Martin at such short notice.
