Steven Finn will miss the remainder of the 2018 season to focus on the long-term rehabilitation of his left knee.
Finn and Middlesex Cricket's medical team have been managing his knee throughout the season and it has hampered his ability to perform close to his best.
Injury and illness to other Middlesex bowlers has left the club short of seamers and Finn has been prepared to play despite being affected by this issue. But, now that it is no longer possible for Middlesex to gain promotion, it is felt that he should concentrate on getting his knee right for 2019.
