FRAN WILSON LEAVES MIDDLESEX

Middlesex Cricket can today announce that Middlesex Women and England International Fran Wilson is leaving the club.

Following Middlesex Women's relegation to Division Two of the Women's County Championship last season, Wilson has opted instead to join Kent, who play in Division One - to improve her prospects of playing international cricket with England.

Head of Women's Cricket, Danni Warren, commented:

"Fran leaves Middlesex with all of our best wishes as she looks to further her England career.

"Since joining Middlesex in 2015 Fran has been a fantastic player, teammate and leader.

"On and off the field she has always led by example and her contribution to the development of Middlesex Women’s cricket, and the young players coming through, has been huge.

"Everyone at the club hopes to see her in an England shirt again soon, and understand her desire to be playing her 50 over cricket in Division One in order to achieve this.

"We wish her well in her future career".
