WINTER WATCH - EDITION TWO

Competitions have been heating up overseas over the past couple of weeks, with Middlesex players involved in important matches during the festive period.

Here are the highlights from the past two weeks:

Dawid Malan: Cape Town Blitz (South African Mzansi Super League T20)

Dawid represented the Blitz for the large part of their Super League campaign, in which the team was able to top the group stages with 6 wins from 10 matches. The Blitz made it all the way to the final of the competition, where the Jozi Stars sadly beat them by 8 wickets.

Eoin Morgan: Tshwane Spartans (South African Mzansi Super League T20)

Eoin Morgan joined up with the Spartans with 4 games remaining in their Super League season, helping them to win 2 of them with a top score of 27. Sadly, the Spartans were not able to qualify for the latter stages of the tournament.

George Scott: Chitwan Tigers (Nepal Everest Premier League)

Joined by fellow teammates John Simpson & Paul Stirling, Scott represented the Chitwan Tigers in the EPL this winter. Scott obtained best figures of 3/24 with the ball, and top scored with 24* with the bat during his time with the Tigers.

Sadly however, the Tigers lost their crucial elimination match against the Bhairahawa Gladiators and have exited the competition.

John Simpson: Chitwan Tigers (Nepal Everest Premier League)

Simpson top scored with an incredible 78 with the bat during his time with the Tigers, taking 7 catches behind the stumps.

Paul Stirling: Chitwan Tigers (Nepal Everest Premier League)

Paul looked in good form for the Tigers during their T20 campaign, hitting scores of 55, 38 & 34 across his 6 innings.

Robbie White: Kensington CC (Australia)

Robbie continued his good form with the bat in his latest outing, hitting 53 for Kensington against Northern Districts, with both teams eventually sharing the spoils from the match.

With several players still in action over the winter months, keep your eyes peeled for further news of how our players are getting on around the world over the coming weeks!
