WINTER WATCH - EDITION THREE

Players representing teams overseas over the winter enjoyed a well-earned break over the festive period, but a few have returned back to action in the past couple of weeks, as they continue their preparations for the beginning of the season with Middlesex.

Here are the highlights from the past few weeks:

Dawid Malan: Khulna Titans (Bangladesh Premier League)

Dawid joined up with the Titans in January, after finishing his stint in South Africa with Cape Town Blitz prior to the Christmas break. Dawid has so far played 5 times for the Titans, top scoring with 45 and averaging 24.8 with the bat.

Paul Stirling: Khulna Titans (Bangladesh Premier League)

Paul Stirling has also joined the Titans for their campaign, and has featured in 5 of their games so far. He has impressed with the bat during his time there, top scoring with 61. He has also produced some important spells with the ball, returning figures of 2 for 2 in his second match with the Titans.

Stephen Eskinazi: Sydney CC (Australia)

Stephen Eskinazi has been in good form for Sydney, notching up some big scores since the turn of the New Year. Already in 2019, he has a fifty and a century to his name in just three innings - hitting the latter off of just 100 deliveries.

Nathan Sowter: Sydney CC (Australia)

Nathan Sowter has recently joined up with Eskinazi in Sydney, making three appearances to date. So far, he has top scored with 23 batting at 8, and has best figures of 2 for 54 with the ball.

Robbie White: Kensington CC (Australia)

Prior to the festive break, Robbie looked in good form with the bat for Kensington. Another solid knock of 34 in the first innings of Kensington’s first match of the New Year saw Robbie pick up where he left off, with the match scheduled to finish this weekend.

Luke Hollman: England Under 19’s

Luke has been representing the young lions against Bangladesh in a mixture of Youth T20 & ODI matches this January. Despite losing both matches to date, Luke has performed strongly, top scoring with 35* with the bat and picking up 2 wickets so far.
