MIDDLESEX CRICKET REGISTERS DAN LINCOLN FOR VITALITY BLAST CAMPAIGN

Middlesex Cricket is pleased to announce that Dan Lincoln has been registered by the club, making him available for selection for the club’s remaining Vitality Blast matches this summer. He will be available for selection immediately.

Lincoln, 24, has been a regular in Middlesex Second Eleven throughout the summer, and his performances, particularly in white ball cricket, have impressed the club's coaching staff. He recently scored 119 of 53 balls in a Second Eleven T20 match.

Lincoln's selection is the result of the successful and growing partnership Middlesex have with Berkshire Cricket. Before pursuing a career as a goalkeeper with Reading he played youth cricket in Berkshire and was involved in the Middlesex junior academy. After returning to cricket with Berkshire he was recommended to Middlesex by Tom Lambert and Mark Allum.

In 2018 Dan played a couple of matches for the Second Eleven, smashing a hundred in a T20 game against the Club Cricket Conference. The display encouraged further involvement in 2019.

Commenting on Lincoln's selection, Angus Fraser, Middlesex’s Managing Director of Cricket said:

"Dan was recommended to us last year by Berkshire and he has made a positive impression in the Second Eleven. His style of cricket is probably best suited to T20 and he is an outstanding fielder.

“With Paul Stirling and Eoin Morgan being absent for the next couple of games Dan's presence will bolster our batting options."
