MIDDLESEX AND GRANGE FARM CENTRE TRUST JOIN FORCES FOR EXCITING INITIATIVE

Middlesex Cricket and The Grange Farm Centre Trust unveil exciting new partnership

Yesterday, Middlesex’s Director of Participation and Safeguarding, Katie Berry, met with Robert Draper, Site Manager of the Grange Farm Centre Trust, to launch an exciting and innovative new partnership.

The new initiative with Middlesex Cricket and the Grange Farm Centre Trust will enable more young people to access, participate and thrive through playing the game of cricket.

The Grange Farm Centre Trust will be providing funding to support Middlesex clubs, schools and community programmes to purchase Flicx Cricket pitches to create new and additional environments for children to play.

The versatile Flicx pitches allow for multiple junior matches to be created on traditional club outfields as well as creating new innovative playing arenas on concrete, 3G pitches and other open spaces.

The Grange Farm Trust is a registered charity covering some 180 acres situated in Chigwell Essex with an area of benefit related to the former metropolitan police District and adjoining local authorities. In doing so, the Trust also operates a grant giving scheme in which local groups, organisations and charities can benefit.

Trevor Johnson, Chairman of the Grange Farm Centre Trust said…

“I am delighted that funds from the Grange Farm Centre Trust will have an impact on cricket clubs across Middlesex. Our partnership with Middlesex Cricket will encourage more young people to participate in sport.”

Katie Berry, Director of Participation and Safeguarding for Middlesex Cricket said:

“I am incredibly grateful to the Grange Farm Centre Trust for supporting our vision to make cricket more accessible and enabling more young people to play the game throughout Middlesex.

“Creating safe spaces for young people to enjoy the benefits of the game both in traditional and non-traditional environments is incredibly important and I have no doubt this partnership will have a positive impact for many young people.”
