MIDDLESEX CRICKET SUPPORTS STONEWALL'S RAINBOW LACES CAMPAIGN

Middlesex Cricket supports Stonewall's Rainbow Laces campaign to make sport everyone’s game

Middlesex Cricket has joined the Rainbow Laces campaign to celebrate lesbian, gay, bi and trans (LGBT) players and fans at every level of cricket.

The ECB has joined forces with LGBT equality charity Stonewall to bring Rainbow Laces to the Vitality Blast and Kia Super League this coming weekend. The campaign will see thousands of players and fans lace up their Rainbow Laces between the 9th and the 12th August 2019.

Tonight, when Middlesex face Sussex in Hove, and again on Sunday when we take on Gloucestershire at Radlett, Middlesex's players will take to the field wearing their Rainbow Laces in support of this hugely important campaign. Join us in showing your support and make sure that we help spread the work that sport is everyone's game.

We know that most fans welcome and accept LGBT people in sport. However, we can’t let a minority of fans spoil the game and make LGBT fans feel unwelcome watching or playing cricket.

By supporting Rainbow Laces we are stepping up to show that offensive chants, language and behaviour have no place in our game.
