THE SEAXE CLUB AGM IS POSTPONED

THE SEAXE CLUB AGM IS POSTPONED

Middlesex Cricket has today been asked by the Committee of the Seaxe Club to pass on the news that the Seaxe Annual General Meeting, scheduled to be held on Tuesday 31st March 2020, has been postponed.

We are told that the Seaxe Club Committee reached this decision in view of the current uncertainty that exists around assemblies and movements of people, that the decision has not been taken lightly, and that it has followed discussions which have reflected on how best the Seaxe Committee might represent the interests of its members and those of Seaxe.

The Seaxe Committee felt that the current environment would adversely affect attendance at the AGM and given the importance that the club places on giving its members a voice in the running of Seaxe, it was felt that a postponement was the most sensible option.

The Seaxe Club plan to reschedule the meeting later in the year and will of course ensure that the forum afterwards will take place, when they again hope to have the support of Middlesex President Mike Selvey, Director of the Board, Mike Gatting, and former Middlesex player, David Nash.

The Committee of Seaxe give their assurance that a minimum of 6 to 8 weeks notice will be provided for the rearranged meeting and that they will in the meantime effect the transfer of officers' responsibilities, so that the Seaxe Club can function normally .

The Seaxe Committee have asked that the club passes on their thanks to all members for their forbearance and their best wishes for all members to stay well in readiness for the forthcoming cricket season.
