TOM HELM NAMED AS RESERVE IN ENGLAND SQUADS FOR SOUTH AFRICA TOUR

TOM HELM INCLUDED IN ENGLAND WHITE-BALL SQUADS AS RESERVE FOR TOUR TO SOUTH AFRICA

The England National Selectors have named the squads for the men’s white-ball tour of South Africa. Both squads will be led by Captain Eoin Morgan, who will travel to South Africa with fellow Middlesex man Tom Helm, who has been named as a reserve in both squads.

The touring party depart on Monday 16 November and will play three IT20s and three ODIs in the space of three and a half weeks, all taking place behind closed doors, in a bio-secure environment at Newlands, Cape Town and Boland Park, Paarl.

England Men’s IT20 Squad:

Eoin Morgan (Middlesex) (captain), Moeen Ali (Worcestershire), Jofra Archer (Sussex), Jonathan Bairstow (Yorkshire), Sam Billings (Kent), Jos Buttler (Lancashire), Sam Curran (Surrey), Tom Curran (Surrey), Chris Jordan (Sussex), Dawid Malan (Yorkshire), Adil Rashid (Yorkshire), Jason Roy (Surrey), Ben Stokes (Durham), Reece Topley (Surrey), Mark Wood (Durham).

England Men’s ODI Squad:

Eoin Morgan (Middlesex) (captain), Moeen Ali (Worcestershire), Jonathan Bairstow (Yorkshire), Sam Billings (Kent), Jos Buttler (Lancashire), Tom Curran (Surrey), Lewis Gregory (Somerset), Liam Livingstone (Lancashire), Adil Rashid (Yorkshire), Joe Root (Yorkshire), Jason Roy (Surrey), Olly Stone (Warwickshire), Reece Topley (Surrey), Chris Woakes (Warwickshire), Mark Wood (Durham).

Reserves across both formats:

Jake Ball (Nottinghamshire), Tom Banton (Somerset), Tom Helm (Middlesex).

Jofra Archer, Sam Curran and Ben Stokes have been rested for the three-match ODI series and will return home after the IT20 series.

Monday 16 November: Touring party departs from London to Cape Town

Saturday 21 November: 50-over intra-squad practice match. Newlands, Cape Town.

Monday 23 November: Two T20 intra-squad practice matches. Boland Park, Paarl.

Friday 27 November: 1st IT20 South Africa v England, Newlands, Cape Town (6.00pm SAST)

Sunday 29 November: 2nd IT20 South Africa v England, Boland Park, Paarl (2.30pm SAST)

Tuesday 1 December: 3rd IT20 South Africa v England, Newlands, Cape Town (6.00pm SAST)

Friday 4 December: 1st ODI South Africa v England, Newlands, Cape Town (1.00pm SAST)

Sunday 6 December: 2nd ODI South Africa v England, Boland Park, Cape Town (10.00am SAST)

Wednesday 9 December: 3rd ODI South Africa v England, Newlands, Cape Town (1.00pm SAST)

Thursday 10 December: Touring party departs from Cape Town to London
