Middlesex Cricket and the Middlesex Cricket Association of Cricket Officials (ACO) recently launched their ‘50 Up’ campaign - an innovative new drive to encourage more women and girls to take the online Stage 1 Umpiring course and take the first step to becoming an umpire.
The campaign initially set out to attract 50 new women and girls to the course, however, following a huge response and an incredible number of sign-ups, we are delighted to announce that the campaign has now evolved into our ‘100 Up’ campaign! Thanks to all who have registered to this point, and if you haven’t, and you’d like to help support your local club, get involved now and help us reach three figures!
The course is specifically designed to give you an overview of the basic Laws of the game as well as providing information on how to apply them; and to introduce the principles of field craft and match management. This course is an ideal introduction for new club umpires and the first step for those who aspire to umpire at higher levels.
If you are interested and are over 13, please email Middlesex’s Participation Manager, Sharon Eyers, on [email protected] with your name and email address and learn how Middlesex Cricket and Middlesex ACO can support your umpiring in Middlesex in both women’s and men’s matches.
