DARYL MITCHELL TALKS US THROUGH HIS STAY WITH MIDDLESEX

DARYL MITCHELL TALKS TO BBC LONDON'S KEVIN HAND ABOUT HIS TIME SPENT WITH MIDDLESEX

After his final home game of the 2021 Blast campaign, New Zealand all-rounder, Daryl Mitchell, spoke to BBC London's Kevin Hand to discuss his time spent in and around the Middlesex camp over the last month.

The potential for him to stay on to represent the Club in the Royal London Cup was keenly investigated by both parties, however this was disappointingly cut short due to Covid quarantining issues, so with reluctance, we said farewell to Daryl this week, who travels home to New Zealand, having done a sterling job for the Club whilst with us.

In eight Vitality Blast matches Mitchell hit 209 runs at an average of 26.12 and took 8 wickets at just 11.25, whilst in two Championship matches he hit 134 runs at 33.50, playing some crucial innings, and took 9 wickets at just 15.77.

We would like to thank Daryl for his time with the Club and hope to see him again in Middlesex colours.
