NATIONAL COUNTIES FIFTY OVER MATCHES CANCELLED

BOTH NATIONAL COUNTIES MATCHES AT RADLETT CRICKET CLUB ARE CANCELLED

Middlesex Cricket can confirm that the scheduled National Counties matches versus Berkshire and Hertfordshire, due to have been played at Radlett Cricket Club on Tuesday 20th and Thursday 22nd July 2021 have both been cancelled.

Whilst Radlett Cricket Club had been selected as the most suitable venue to host both of these games, they were actually away fixtures for Middlesex, with the hosting costs of each game being the responsibility of the National Counties in question. The decision to cancel the fixtures was taken earlier this month in light of the necessary costs that would have been incurred to stage the events, with the likelihood of ground safety protocols and crowd restrictions needed to be put in place to comply with Covid safety regulations at the time.

We apologise to any members and supporters who were hoping to attend these matches, and we trust you understand the rationale behind the cancellation of the fixtures given the ever changing regulations the Covid pandemic places on the game.
