NIC POTHAS LEAVES ASSISTANT COACH ROLE FOR PERSONAL REASONS

MIDDLESEX ASSISTANT COACH NIC POTHAS TO LEAVE THE CLUB ON PERSONAL GROUNDS

Middlesex Cricket is extremely sad to announce the departure of the Club’s Assistant Coach Nic Pothas, who has reached the difficult decision to leave his role due to personal reasons with immediate effect.

Pothas joined Middlesex under Head Coach Stuart Law in 2019 and has worked with the Club’s first team squad since, bringing his own brand of energy, focus and passion to the Assistant Coaches role.

Nic leaves his post with the Club’s full support, and full understanding of the decision he has reached in what is a difficult time for him. All at Middlesex wishes Nic and his family well and would like to thank him for all the has done throughout the three years he spent at Lord’s.

Nic Pothas commented:

“I’ve had the most amazing time at Middlesex over the past three years. The staff and players are some of the best people I’ve had the benefit of working with during my coaching career. They’ve made coming to work an absolute joy, each and every day. I’ve had the great fortune of making lifelong friends in a short space of time.

“For personal reasons, which have made it very tough on me for the last six months, it would not be possible to give of my best to either the Club or my family, which would make it unfair on both.

“Thanks for three years I’ll never forget.”
