With Middlesex membership renewals for the 2022 available from today, what better time to focus on the Club's overseas signing for next season, Pakistan's Shaheen Shah Afridi, who will be gracing Lord's and our out-grounds for Middlesex next season. It promises to be an outstanding summer with Shaheen in our ranks!
Today, the international fast bowler has made it into the top five of the MRF Tyres ICC Men's Test Player rankings for the first time in his career, after a fine show in the first Test against Bangladesh which Pakistan won by eight wickets.
The 21-year-old left-arm bowler, who grabbed seven wickets including a haul of five for 32 in the second innings of the Chittagong Test, has moved up three places to fifth position after overtaking James Anderson, Kagiso Rabada and Neil Wagner.
With the Pakistan quick lighting up the recent ICC World T20 Cup and now continuing his incredible form in his countries latest Test series, there's a huge amount to be excited about when looking towards next season.
We can't wait to see Shaheen charging in for Middlesex with the three Seaxes on his chest, and he'll be in both our Vitality Blast and LV= Insurance County Championship ranks, and we hope you're looking forward to seeing 'The Eagle' in action.
