MIDDLESEX TO HOST TWO DEMENTIA FRIENDLY DAY AT LORD'S

MIDDLESEX CRICKET TO HOST TWO DEMENTIA FRIENDLY MATCH-DAYS AT LORD'S IN ASSOCIATION WITH DEMENTIACARERS.ORG.UK

We are delighted to announce that Middlesex Cricket will be hosting two dementia friendly match-days at Lord's Cricket Ground, in association with dementiacarers.org.uk, on 19th July 2023 when Middlesex take on Surrey in Division One of the County Championship, and on 20th September, when Middlesex take on Warwickshire.

On both days we are looking forward to welcoming representatives of Dementia Carers Count (DCC) to Lord's Cricket Ground, where they will be on hand at Lord's to hand out information on the work they do as a charity and to talk to fellow spectators about caring for a loved one with dementia.

Dementia Carers Count (DCC) is a national charity that specifically supports family carers looking after someone with dementia. DCC can help you feel more confident in your role as a carer. The organisation answers your questions about dementia and explains the different challenges you may face when caring for someone.

A team of health and social care professionals is available to help you both by phone and in person. If you feel comfortable online, you have the opportunity to listen to advice, take distance learning courses and exchange ideas with other carers.

The focus is always on how to look after your own health and wellbeing while you're caring. All support is free of charge.

For more information drop by and see the Dementia Carers Count representatives for a chat at Lord's on either of the two match-days, visit dementiacarers.org.uk online, or call 0800 652 1102 from Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm.

We look forward to hosting Dementia Carers Count in both July and September.

If you're someone looking after a loved one with dementia, then you can join us for the day at Lord's for free, on either match day, by visiting here.
