10 months ago | Player

LONDON CUP RETURNS TO LORD'S THIS AFTERNOON AND MIDDLESEX WOMEN NAME A SQUAD OF TWELVE FOR THE LONDON DERBY CLASH

This afternoon, at 3.15pm, Middlesex Women will once again grace the famous Home of Cricket hallowed turf, as they take on our London rivals Surrey Women in the annual T20 London Cup fixture.

Surrey Women are the current holders of the trophy, having beaten Middlesex Women at the Kia Oval exactly a year ago today, when Middlesex were on the wrong end of a convincing Surrey performance which saw Middlesex dismissed for just 68 runs. The home side duly chased down their target in just 9 overs with Bryony Smith leading her side home with an unbeaten knock of 28 from just 25 balls.

Middlesex Women come into the clash having just won the Women's County T20 Group 6 Trophy, sharing it with Kent Women, after rain forced the cancellation of the Group Six final at Mill Hill School last weekend. Middlesex topped the Group six table, going unbeaten in their Group campaign, beating Oxfordshire Women twice, Surrey Women twice, with both games against Kent Women rained off.

Middlesex Women have named a twelve strong squad for this afternoon's clash, as follows:

Surrey have also named a twelve strong squad for the match, detailed as below:

Middlesex Members can gain free entry into Lord's today to watch the match on production of a valid 2023 membership card, however, the game is also being live streamed by the Club, which can be seen on the Middlesex website in the Match Centre or direct on the Club's YouTube channel.

Good luck to Middlesex Women today! Here's to the trophy returning to Lord's.
