THREE MIDDLESEX EPG PLAYERS FEATURING IN ECB SUPER 4S

THREE YOUNG EPG MIDDLESEX CRICKETERS PLAYING IN ECB SUPER 4S THIS WEEK

We are thrilled to announce that three of our EPG squad have been called up to compete in this year’s ECB Super 4s competition, taking place this week up at Loughborough.

Rhys Lewis, Ben Salter and Aaryan Sawant will all represent the London and East side, in the annual competition which showcases the best young talent from across the English domestic game, with the best youngsters selected from four regions across the country to go head-to-head in both white ball formats of the game.

All three of the Middlesex players have been in action for their region already this week, in the fifty over format, which began on Monday, as the London and East side went up against the North region in the opening fixture of the week at the Haslegrave Ground. In a high scoring contest, edged by the North, both Ben and Rhys got overs under their belts, with some success, with the former picking up 1 for 41 from 6 overs and the latter 3 for 52 from 10.

On Tuesday it was Sawant’s turn to shine in the spotlight, as the young Middlesex right-handed batter hit an impressive 64 from 80 deliveries in a tight game against the South and West region, which was ultimately won by the South and West side in a Super over after the scores were level in a DLS rain affected game. Lewis again enjoyed some success with the ball, picking up 1 for 25 from 4 overs.

Today they face the Midlands region, who have won both of their two matches to this point, whilst the London and East are still looking to break their duck, ahead of the competition moving into the T20 format tomorrow.

All at Middlesex wish the three young players every success throughout the rest of the week.
