2024 FIXTURES ANNOUNCED FOR ALL THREE DISABILITY SQUADS

2024 DISABILITY FIXTURES ANNOUNCED

Today, we are delighted to release the fixtures for all three of Middlesex's Disability squads, the D40 First Eleven, the D40 Second Eleven and the Super 9's.

All three sides will be looking for improvement in 2024 after a season of near misses in 2023, with the D40 First Eleven missing out on the Quest league title, finishing as runners up to Yorkshire, whilst the D40 Second Eleven and Super 9s sides had to settle for third place finishes in their respective leagues.

Despite missing out on silverware, it was an incredible year for Middlesex's collective group of Disability players, with no fewer than fourteen of them selected to play in the ECB's Disability showcase tournament in 2023 - the Disability Premier League. Furthermore, four of Middlesex's deaf players were selected to represent England at national level, four were selected to represent their country in England's Learning Difficulties squad, and a further two have been selected to tour in India with England's Physical Disability squad.

The D40 First Eleven squad will be competing again in the Quest national league, the D40 Second Eleven will compete in the Pursuit South league, and the Super 9s side are entering the Super 9s South East regional league again.

Both D40 squads will play their home matches at William Perkin School in Greenford in 2024, whilst the Super 9s home ground will again be Chiswick Cricket Club, with every match this season getting underway at 1pm.

The hardball D40 county Disability action gets underway on 28th April 2024, with the First Eleven facing an eagerly awaited away trip to 2023 Champions Yorkshire, after the same fixture in 2023 was called off by the home side because of poor weather, which ultimately denied Middlesex the opportunity to secure a victory that would have crowned them champions.

The Second Eleven D40 side kick things off a week later on 5th May 2024, against London rivals Surrey at home, whilst the Super 9s get underway on 28th April, with a home tie against Hampshire.
