WILL STONE APPOINTED AS CHAIR OF MIDDLESEX IN THE COMMUNITY

Today, Middlesex Cricket is delighted to announce the appointment of Will Stone as Chair of the Club’s new charity foundation, Middlesex in the Community.

Following an extensive recruitment process, led by a firm of independent recruitment and executive search specialists, Stone joins Middlesex in the Community with a proven track record of working with leading sports organisations and charity foundations across global markets.

With Middlesex in the Community’s charity status now approved, Stone will join the foundation immediately and will oversee the early development, growth, and delivery of the Club’s charitable arm, alongside an appointed Board of Trustees, and two appointed Board positions from Middlesex Cricket. Middlesex in the Community is a wholly owned, independently governed subsidiary of Middlesex County Cricket Club.

Middlesex in the Community’s purpose is to promote cricket in the seventeen London boroughs that form the cricket county of Middlesex and its surrounding areas.

Its objectives are to promote community participation and engagement in cricket by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities (land, buildings & equipment) and activities that promote the advancement of health, education, community development and recreational sport for people residing, working, in education or visiting the 17 London Boroughs of the county.

“I am delighted that Will has agreed to become Chair of Middlesex Cricket’s charitable foundation and I look forward to working with him to increase and broaden the participation in cricket across Middlesex.”

On taking the Chair’s role at Middlesex in the Community, Stone himself said:

“It is with great excitement that I join Middlesex in the Community as Chair. It is my strong belief that cricket can play a significant role in the lives of many across Middlesex.

“I look forward to working with my fellow Trustees and the wider team, to ensure that MITC offers programmes that are welcoming to all and create positive impact for everyone involved in cricket in our Middlesex communities.”
