Middlesex’s EPG squads are looking forward to another action-packed summer of cricket in 2024, with both the Under 16s and Under 18s fixtures for the coming season announced today.
Both squads will compete in multiple formats, playing T20, 50-over and multi-day cricket this year.
The Under 18s face a challenging April, taking on Berkshire’s men’s team as well as Crouch End’s First Eleven and Wokingham’s First Eleven, as the Club's Pathway Head Coach, Mark Lane, looks to pit his youngsters talents against a number quality and experienced men's outfits.
May will see the side play a number of T20 matches before the focus shifts to 50-over cricket from mid-June. The Under-18s Championship will see the side play five three-day fixtures from the end of July and through August.
The Under 16s have a busy programme too with a number of matches against Essex, Kent, Surrey and Sussex.
Their ECB Under 16 Cup defence will begin on Sunday 16th June, when they travel to Sussex – with the final set for Sunday 15th September if the group make it all the way. This season, the Under 16s will be looking to make it a hattrick in the ECB's U16 showcase competition, as they look to lift their third consecutive trophy, having beaten Yorkshire in the final in both 2022 and 2023.
