MIDDLESEX MEN'S PRE-SEASON FIXTURES ANNOUNCED FOR 2024 SEASON

Middlesex Cricket can today announce three pre-season fixtures for the Men’s First Team ahead of the 2024 campaign.

The Middlesex Men's pre-season training schedule will soon see the squad move into the marquee at Merchant Taylors' School, to begin practicing on grass nets, before they take part in three red-ball matches in the build up to the coming season.

Richard Johnson’s side will take on Hampshire, Kent and Essex as they finalise preparations before competitive cricket returns from 5th April, when we welcome Glamorgan to Lord’s in the County Championship.

We will travel to Hampshire to kick things off at the Utilita Bowl on Thursday 21st March before welcoming Kent to Merchant Taylors’ School in Northwood at the start of the following week.

We have been advised by Hampshire that spectators are welcome to attend the match in Southampton, and all members and supporters will also be able to watch the game at Merchant Taylors’ School, but please note that facilities will be limited and it is advised that anyone watching should bring their own chairs.

Pre-season will conclude with a trip to Essex, and having initially been advised by Essex that the match would be played behind closed doors, we have subsequently been informed that the ground will be partially opened and spectators are welcome to attend, with seating available in the Doug Insole Pavilion and benches.
