MIDDLESEX IN THE COMMUNITY HOLDS THIRD BOROUGH CAP PRESENTATION

BOROUGH CRICKETERS PRESENTED WITH MIDDLESEX CAPS BY ANGIS FRASER OF MIDDLESEX IN THE COMMUNITY

Middlesex in the Community (MITC) held a third successful Borough Cap Presentation on Sunday 28 April at St Benedicts School Playing Fields in Ealing.

Inclement weather prevented the presentation being made during an interval in the Ealing Borough matches that were due to be played, but this did not prevent close to hundred children and parents attending for what a special and proud day for the young cricketers and their families.

Ayzaz Hussain, who oversees the Ealing Borough programme, hosted the presentation and thanked the parents and coaches for what they do, before handing over to Angus Fraser, the Managing Director of MITC, who spoke of the importance of cricket caps and what they present. Fraser spoke about his caps, which started with his first cap in the early days at Stanmore Cricket Club, and ended with him receiving the England cap he wore during his final Test match with England.

Borough cricket plays an extremely important role in Middlesex’s pathway and Middlesex Cricket would like to thank all those who make it possible for young cricketers to play this wonderful game.
