Middlesex D40 Head Coach, Andy Hill, has named a squad of 15 for tomorrow’s historic match against Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) at Lord’s.
The T20 fixture forms part of MCC’s Disability Day and precedes England's mixed disability fixture against India. It will be the first time that any Middlesex disability squad will have played on the main square at the Home of Cricket.
Our D40 squad, who are defending national champions, have played four matches so far in the Quest League this summer and have won two – defeating Essex and Sussex respectively. This will undoubtedly be the biggest fixture of the year for the side and indeed their history, having been around for more than a decade.
Led by Captain and leading wicket taker, James Nordin, there is a lot of talent in the group with seven players having featured for England over the last few years.
Umesh Valjee has a century to his name, whilst Aryan Janjale has two fifties this term.
Tomorrow’s match begins at 10am and all support is welcome for what promises to be a great showcase of disability cricket. For those who are unable to make to Lord’s, the match will be live streamed on the Club’s YouTube channel.
