Congratulations to our Disability Super 9s squad, who yesterday qualified for the national semi-finals after winning the south east regional group.
The side had won five games on the bounce before a washout yesterday, but that was more than enough to see them through the final four.
Wins on that run came against Sussex, Kent, Essex and the Isle of Wight. The biggest of those wins was against Kent, where we won by 211 runs
This is a great achievement by the team, with notable performances throughout the season by many in the squad. All players have developed over the winter months which has led to a significant rise in performance.
The team their unbeaten record with them to travel to Kidderminster CC to play in the national semi-final on Sunday 27th July.
On qualifying for the semi-finals, Disability Head Coach, Andy Hill said:
"This group have played some really good cricket this year and have been a testament to both themselves and Middlesex Cricket.
"To see the journey that they have been on has been really pleasing to witness and here's hoping we can go all the way and get the reward for their hard work.
"My thanks go to Raj, Scott and all that have supported throughout the campaign to-date. Our development and growth wouldn't have been possible without the work that goes on week-in-week-out, both with the players and behind the scenes."
