CHARITY CRICKET MATCH IN PARTNERSHIP WITH ARK BUILD A HUGE SUCCESS

MIDDLESEX RUN OUT WINNERS IN CHARITY MATCH AGAINST PRESTON NOMADS CRICKET CLUB

Yesterday, at the Preston Nomads Spen Cama Memorial Ground in Fulking, Middlesex were hosted by Preston Nomads Cricket Club, for a charity T20 cricket match in support of a local community cause very close to the heart of the Club's longest serving sponsor, Ark Build PLC.

The match saw a Middlesex Cricket Select Eleven taking on a Chair's Select Eleven from Sussex Premier League side Preston Nomads Cricket Club, to raise funds to save Fulking's Village Hall, which for over one hundred years has been at the centre of the community in the village where Ark Build's Managing Director, Michael Finlay, resides.

The Seaxes ran out winners by 26 runs, thanks largely to a fine unbeaten knock of 87 off 33 balls from all-rounder Luke Hollman, who hit eight maximums in his innings, although the day was less about the result and more about the importance of raising funds for the worthy cause, which was a roaring success.

Those in attendance were lucky enough to watch a Middlesex side featuring a number of the Club's current first eleven stars and some legends from Middlesex sides of old, with the likes of Tim Murtagh dusting off his bowling boots and turning back the clock to help Middlesex secure victory on what was a memorable and successful day for all.

All at Middlesex County Cricket Club would like to pass on our thanks to everyone at Preston Nomads Cricket Club for such warm hospitality on the day and for hosting such an amazing fundraising day.

We are proud to have played a small part in helping to save this important community asset.
