Middlesex Cricket can today confirm that Ariana Dowse will join Middlesex Women on a short-term loan from Essex Women, with immediate effect, and is available for Middlesex’s Metro Bank One-Day Cup clash against Leicestershire this coming weekend.
Wicket-keeper batter Dowse is no stranger to Middlesex and the Middlesex coaching staff, as she worked under Women’s Head Coach Marc Broom with Sunrisers until the end of 2024 when she moved to Tier One side Essex as part of the restructuring of the domestic Women’s game.
She joins Middlesex having made two Metro Bank Women’s One-Day Cup appearances this summer and one appearance in the Women’s Vitality County Cup one for Essex, plus two additional appearances on loan for Northamptonshire in the Women’s Vitality Blast League Two competition which Middlesex won last month.
Marc Broom, Middlesex Women’s Head Coach, commented:
“We are pleased to have Ariana with us on loan for a short period of time, as we know what skills and qualities she will add to our group.
“I really enjoyed working with her throughout the time at Sunrisers and am looking forward to picking that up again with Middlesex.
“Our thanks go to Essex Women for allowing us to take Ariana on a short-term loan agreement.”
