Congratulations to our Super 9s side who have clinched the national title after defeating Staffordshire in a thriller at Digswell Park.
Having been put in by Staffordshire, we managed to reach 95 in our 30 overs thanks to crucial runs down the order from Matthew Key, who finished unbeaten on 21 having struck three boundaries.
Shaurya Deshmukh (19) managed to reach double figures also, finding the boundary four times in his 25-ball knock.
Jack Kiss was the star with the ball, claiming 3/16, whilst Anish Regula (2/13) and Deshmukh (2/11) took a couple of wickets each.
Waris Bahrami (1/12) and Dylan Patel (1/27) both took one wicket apiece also as we bowled Staffordshire out in the 26th over, sealing an eight-run win!

“Today is a special day for our Super 9s having been crowned national champions.
“This group have been on an incredible journey since the start of the season and to see everyone’s hard work finish with us lifting silverware is extremely pleasing.
“There have been some amazing performances along the way and I am so proud of every one of our players for their contributions, whether it be today or earlier in the season.
“Credit must go to Staffordshire for an excellent match. We also thank Welwyn Garden City Cricket Club for their hospitality and to the ECB for putting on a wonderful final.”
